Feeling heavy-hearted as your favorite week of the summer approaches? Just smile !
The festival staff won't let us down, with an online La Roche Bluegrass Festival in 2020. For Christopher Howard-Williams, Didier Philippe and friends, it is out of the question to let this special time go by and doing nothing.
Prepare to enjoy full concerts, filmed by Jeff Guyot from the sound staff spot, with the sound taken directly from the mixer. The line up will be made of 15 concerts they already have in stock.
The bands authorized this broadcast, and they also gave interviews, that is the La Roche speciality.
Christopher recorded around 10 to 15-minute interviews in English AND in French (live translation). They talk about the last four months of lockdown, perspectives for the future and their memories during their coming to La Roche.
Some are from European artists (Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom) and American artists, from all over the United States.
The discussions are really moving, the artists talk honestly about their way to rethink their work, to create, to stay in touch with their audience, and their fear regarding the future.
Follow this on La Roche Bluegrass Festival. The videos will also be on youtube.
First broadcasts on July 4th. Red Wine, Marie Reynaud, A.J. Lee and Blue Summit, Anthony Hannigan, Della Mae, Lluis Gomez, Ben Somers, Lover's Leap, Frank Solivan, Ralph Schut and Ondra Kozak, Mile Twelve : some of the interviews you can already watch on the Festival Facebook page.
Précise, rythmique ou mélodique, aussi à l'aise en accompagnement qu'en improvisation, la guitare en Bluegrass présente toutes les facettes de cette musique.
