Francophones, je vous présente mes excuses, cette annonce est en langue Anglaise Mais toutefois intéressante puisque le festival de Didmarton n’est pas trop loin de la France.
Venez donc, c’est chouette !

News at last! The festival is happening at its usual location at Cotswold Airport (formerly Kemble Airfield) Thursday 30th August to Sunday 2nd September 2012.
The tickets are now on sale. Just go to the tickets page and you can order your tickets by post using the downloadable form or pay directly by PayPal.
Advance discounts are available until July 1st, 2012. Advance tickets purchases will close on August 15th. After that date, please pay at the gate on arrival.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to steward the event and if you are interested in working at the festival, please go to the “Volunteer” page for details.
Band news: We have “Cedar Hill” who play good down home traditional Bluegrass with a touch of humour and the ever popular Peter Rowan (solo) coming along this year. We are still looking for a headliner for out Thursday night concert and we hope to secure a high flying performer from the British Folk scene. Damien O’ Kane, Dave Kosky and John Joe Kelly are already lined up to provide the support for this concert so Thursday is going to be a tremendous night of music! Please note this concert is ticketed separately and not included in the weekend ticket price.
We have two lines ups who blew us away at Sore Fingers Week this year. Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston will be joined by extraordinary guitarist Grant Gordy flying in especially from Colorado. Anyone who was at Sore Fingers Week and saw this collaboration will tell you how good it was. Astounding wasn’t an exaggeration!
Lands End are a five piece formed of a mix of English and Irish players lead by Dobro Player Bruno Pilcher. They might have appeared as a student band but they performed like super stars.
We’ve got many familiar names appearing and the final programme is being finalised and will appear on the “Bands Page” as soon as contracts have been agreed. But with approximately forty ands line to entertain you over four days of great entertainment, there is definitely something for everybody with Bluegrass and Old Time well represented and some folk, Jazz and Americana to add the spice to a jam packed programme.
