French lyrics for My Long Journey Home

I am playing in Wales with a Bluegrass Band at an event with French visitors. It is a twin-town celebration. I have words for My Long Journey Home in English and Welsh, and would like some suggestions for French lyrics. It's a nice simple song but it is 50 years since I was at school. It should not be a literal translation but just what a native French bluegrasser might sing!
Chorus:
Lost all my money but a 2 dollar bill, 2 dollar bill boys, 2 dollar bill.
Lost all my money but a 2 dollar bill, I'm on my long journey home.
Ma tentative:
Perdu mon monnaie sauf deux dollar bill, 2 dollar bill gars/braves/boys, 2 dollar bill
Perdu mon monnaie sauf 2 dollar bill, j' sur mon voyage long
Verses
Cloudy in the West/East// looks like rain.
or Black smoke rising, looks like a train, etc etc
Obliged for any help.
Is there a web site with French Bluegrass Lyrics, all suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
Andrew
