Help Save Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom from Development
« on: April 04, 2010, 11:18:35 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To all Blue Grass fans,
This is a place that means alot to me and alot to the fans of Bill Monroe and Blue Grass music.
I received this email about saving Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom Blue Grass Festival fom being sold to developers. This is a great place to bring your kids and listen to great performers. It is located in a beautiful natural setting in Southern Indiana. The Bill Monroe Memorial Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival takes place in June- it is like a mini Merle Fest. There are more events like this one at Bean Blossom (see the website) but all of this may be gone if it is bought by developers. Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park & Campground is once again for sale. The foundation is trying to keep Bill Monroe's dream alive. Please help.

Please cast your vote before April 30th to help save the festival. Here is the email I received from John R. Clark [clarkjrc@gwmail.gwu.edu] and here is the website about Bean Blossom http://www.beanblossom.com.

Please help "Save the Bean Blossom Blue Grass Jamboree from Development." The Bean Blossom
Brown County Jamboree Preservation Foundation is competing to win $250,000 in the Pepsi Refresh
Project. Please visit our profile and vote for our project by clicking the link above (or going to
http://www.refresheverything.com/ and search for "Bean Blossom")

Start spreading the news to your friends & family and tell them to vote. There are also ways on the
page to promote the voting via Facebook, Twitter, etc. Get the word out! There's no time to lose,
voting ends April 30th, 2010.

Thanks,

John Clark
