Il s'agit du festival qui a fait l'objet de l'excellent DVD "Bluegrass Country Soul", dont on a déjà causé ici.

Ils en sont à la troisième partie. Ne manquez pas la première avec Bluegrass Alliance ( juste avant qu'il deviennent Newgrass Revival) et Courtney Johnson qui ne faisait pas encore du Courtney Johnson, mais presque. Pas de vinyl de cette époque à ma connaissance, donc c'est un document qui vaut le déplacement.

Au lieu d'avoir un morceau ou deux par groupe comme dans le DVD vous avez la même chose, mais là ce sont les sets complets (mp3 sur console de mixage).

Ce festival de 1971 est un de ceux qui ont vraiment popularisé le bluegrass hors des USA ( d'autres suivront et essaiemeront dans le monde).

And you are welcome to choose as you wish. Home you have found some musical treasures. Funny for me that people that like bluegrass have such a dislike for thing involving Jesus when the gospel tradition of bluegrass is so much a part of it. Oh well some things I will never understand.

It seems that this little planet becomes smaller than ever.
Usually, what I wrote ( even when doing it ranting style) was mostly unknown to anyone or so.

Anyway, thanks so much for you nice, astonishing blog and do not take my words for what it's not : You may believe into anything you want, I just found that the blog would have been more valuable without the heavily recurring religious stuff. Nothing to do with bluegrass music, I know of a lot of people here that appreciate it and do not understand the true meaning of the lyrics. Fortunately in some cases, IMHO.

Useless to say that I believe in nothing, including into myself.
A time proven method against any kind of deception.

BTW it seems that the Tex Logan, Lilly Brothers Don Stover and Earl Scruggs Revue sets were missing in the list (aside the Ralph Stanley set as you pointed out).
