Meeting French Friends?

I shall be in France in August. My wife, 14 year old stepdaughter, 2 year old son, and I now plan to arrive in Paris 7 Aug. We plan to spend a few days in Paris before heading to Lyon, which will be our "base of operations" until we depart for home on 23 Aug.

Our schedule is open at this point. We plan to visit friends and to take driving trips staying wherever and however long we choose.

I am very interested in meeting fellow banjo players, and would be happy to get together to play some music or even teach or do some workshops,

Pity you are not here one week earlier to enjoy the La Roche Bluegrass Festival (about 2 hours from Lyon).

The Paris sessions are not running during school holidays although you may find some musicians around there. Normally, Paris closes down in August as the Parisians head for the coast but Bluegrass musicians are a strange lot and do not always conform

Lyon has several musicians living in and around. You may find some there.
I will be around in Haute Savoie (La Roche) and I am not sure of my schedule for the month.
I'll keep it open and answer to your email if we can organise a meet.
